The problem:
There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. They answered him, We have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free? Jesus replied, I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. (John 8:32, 34)
I know that my selfish desires wont let me do anything that is good. Even when I want to do right, I cannot. Instead of doing what I know is right, I do wrong. And so, if I dont do what I know is right, I am no longer the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them. (Romans 7:18-20)
You know that our ancestors were told, Do not murder and A murderer must be brought to trial. But I promise you that if you are angry with someone, you will have to stand trial. If you call someone a fool, you will be taken to court. And if you say that someone is worthless, you will be in danger of the fires of hell. You know the commandment which says, Be faithful in marriage. But I tell you that if you look at another woman and want her, you are already unfaithful in your thoughts. (Matthew 5:21-22; 5:27-29)
But the words that come out of your mouth come from your heart. And they are what make you unfit to worship God. Out of your heart come evil thoughts, murder, unfaithfulness in marriage, vulgar deeds, stealing, telling lies, and insulting others. These are what make you unclean. (Matthew 15:18-20)
Sin pays off with death. But Gods gift is eternal life given by Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die. (John 3:16)
But God showed how much he loved us by having Christ (Jesus) die for us, even though we were sinful. (Romans 5:8)
So you will be saved, if you honestly say, Jesus is Lord, and if you believe with all your heart that God raised him from death. (Romans 10:9)
Go in through the narrow gate. The gate to destruction is wide, and the road that leads there is easy to follow. A lot of people go through that gate. But the gate to life is very narrow. The road that leads there is so hard to follow that only a few people find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ
for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)
(repent means to turn away from sin, to agree that it is bad and that you dont want to go the way of sin anymore and to turn to God instead)
Jesus told us that God is light and doesnt have any darkness in him. Now we are telling you. If we say that we share in life with God and keep on living in the dark, we are lying and are not living by the truth. 7But if we live in the light, as God does, we share in life with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus washes all our sins away. (1 John 1:5-7)
Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even though they die; (John 11:25)Jesus said: I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. (John 14:6).
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to give his life for his friends, you are my friends if you do what I command you. (John 15:12-14)
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
(Jesus said:) I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. (Luke 18:17)
